Sarah Francine Deill

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------Based upon the execution of a search warrant late Monday afternoon, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Oconee County woman on drug charges after over two pounds of Methamphetamine was seized.

The search warrant was obtained by investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division in relation to an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred early Sunday morning at an address on Earles Grove Road that remains under investigation at this time.

35 year old Sarah Francine Deill, who has listed addresses of Owens Road in Seneca and Earles Grove Road in Westminster, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 3:48am Tuesday. Deill has been charged with one count each of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute LSD.

The search warrant was executed at 700 Earles Grove Road by investigators, upon which a large quantity of narcotics was seized and was turned over to Narcotics Agents from the Sheriff’s Office after a second search warrant was obtained. Agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration are also involved in the investigation.

The investigation into the shooting incident began Sunday morning after deputies responded to Earles Grove Road and Memory Lane neat Westminster. Upon arriving at the incident scene, deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division discovered a silver truck but could not locate a victim. Deputies later learned that the victim was transported by a separate vehicle to the hospital before they arrived at the incident scene. Deputies spoke with the female victim at the hospital as she was receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

At this time, Deill remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center as bond on her two charges was denied. Deill will appear before a Circuit Court Judge at a later time regarding her bond.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing both investigations.
